7 unmissable beaches in Rio de Janeiro
After our post about types of beaches in Rio de Janeiro, we are seduced to post today with our favorite beaches.
Remember that here we will be limited to the beaches that are within the city, leaving to talk about those that are beyond this limit later.
7 – IPANEMA BEACH

A famous beach where there is space to play volleyball, football and other sports practiced by friends who go to the place. It is very frequented by tourists and also by residents of the city. Her beauty eventually inspired Vinícius de Moraes who composed the song Girl from Ipanema. Many sporting events take place on site, as well as evening shows as well. Seeing the sunset in the harpoon is practically mandatory for those who have not done so beautiful as it is.
6 – COPACABANA BEACH

How not to start by saying that it is the best known beach in the world? This is where the New Year’s Eve party takes place, hosted the beach volleyball, water marathon and triathlon competitions at the 2016 Olympics… A great choice!
5 – PRAIA VERMELHA

This one already starts abusing =]. Next to Sugar Loaf, one of the largest postcards of the city, presents a beautiful landscape.
Due to its location, surrounded by the hills of Urca and Babylon, it is usually a very calm beach with no waves. It has this name because the sand is reddish when the sun goes down, due to the reflection of sunlight on the red and pink crystals located on its sand.
4 – PRAIA DA BARRA

It has a very long strip of sand, with very fine grain of sand and generally rough seas, but some people risk entering. Good for surfing and even some championship stages are held on this beach.
3 – PRAINHA AND GRUMARI BEACHES

Beaches with a more difficult access, which makes it become a more untouched environment and therefore cleaner and empty. They are areas of environmental protection and accessible by trail.
2 – PRAIA DO PERIGOSO

A beach surrounded by greenery… what a beautiful setting! The sea with that tone in parts pulling to blue and others to green. The dispute for first place was difficult…
1 – PRAIA DO SECRETO

Praia do Secreto really is a beautiful place! It is a place without a strip of sand, in fact a natural pool. Its total length is quite small and for the most part not very deep.
The downside is that due to its great beauty, it is becoming increasingly popular and becoming a very crowded place and suffering the consequences for it (especially in relation to garbage).
None of the beaches listed in this post are on our tours, but for beaches outside the city, we have the tours to Angra and Buzios.
