Collection: A series of underwater tunnels dating back to marine ecosystems, as well as a Science Museum.

3. CCBB
Collection: Famous traveling exhibitions in Brazil and around the world, with varied themes. It also has theater and cinema room.

4. RIO ART MUSEUM (SEA)
Collection: Works of art related to the history of the city of Rio and its urban culture.
Location: Mauá Square – Downtown
5. CULTURAL CENTER FOR FEDERAL JUSTICE (CCJF)
Collection: Several temporary exhibitions, usually related to Cinema, Photography and Dance. It also has several courses on the same subjects.

6. National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA)
Collection: Focused on the history of Brazilian Plastic Art – Paintings, Engravings and Sculptures.

7. NATIONAL MUSEUM (Thursday of Good View)
Collection: UFRJ Research Center, with exhibitions covering the history of the Sciences: Archeology, Geology, Zoology, etc.

8. MUSEUM OF THE REPUBLIC – CATETE PALACE
Collection: Items and Documents referring to the history of the Republic, as well as a gallery of contemporary art.

Collection: Exhibitions and interactive experiments related to Science and Astronomy.

10. MUSEUM OF THE INDIAN
Collection: Exhibitions referring to the history of Brazilian indigenous tribes.

11. NATIONAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM (MHN)
Collection: Referring to the history of the expansion of Portuguese colonization. It has a library specialized in Brazilian history.

12. MUSEUM OF IMAGE AND SOUND (MIS)
Collection: Archives referring to the history of Brazilian music, cinema, photography and radio.
Location: Lapa
13. CULTURAL BOX
Collection: Various and traveling exhibitions of paintings and photographs, as well as more elaborate artistic installations from time to time. It has some theaters and cinema.

14. MODERN ART MUSEUM OF RIO DE JANEIRO (MAM)
Collection: Fixed and temporary exhibitions of Brazilian and foreign modernist artists, as well as a cinematheque. MAM also usually hosts Arts and Film Festivals.

Collection: Photography, Music, Literature and Iconography.
